This project has been funded by the Student Technology Fee. You can use this portal from any computer that has a web browser to gain access to many of the applications found in the USF open use labs! We will be making many changes to this site over the course of the Spring semester, so there will be times when this site will be temporarily unavailable. You will always be able to access these same applications in the computer labs like you have done before.
If you have a FOREST domain account, you must use that to sign on. Otherwise, use your NETID to sign on. Before you can access the applications, you must [Enroll].
The pilot phase of this project is now complete! Now any current student, faculty or staff can get into the apps.usf.edu site. If this is your first time visiting this site, please make sure you enroll first.
UStoreFiles was briefly unavailable within applications on the apps.usf.edu portal this morning, but is now working correctly.
To improve the performance of AutoCAD on the apps.usf.edu portal, we have changed this application to use a Hosted Desktop instead of a being presented as a seamless application.
After you Sign In, you should see a new "Desktops" tab at the top of the application explorer. Clicking this tab will show you any Desktops you are allowed to run.
The desktop will launch at 1024x768 resolution, but you can simply click the Maximize button at the top right of the desktop window to make this full-screen.
Please Note!
When closing the desktop version of AutoCAD, you should click Start >> Logoff on the hosted desktop and not just the X on the top of the window.
Apps.usf.edu servers are offline for weekly maintenance every Saturday from 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM.
Users still logged in at 3:00 AM will see a popup warning every 5 minutes, and be given 15 minutes to log out.
Please make sure you are saving your files to your local computer or network drives. Many of the applications on this site default to saving documents on the server. If you save your files there, they will disappear when you log off. Please see the following document for more details:
